Parker I. Johnson

Parker Johnson is a creative entrepreneur and photographer who has spearheaded sports and event coverage for nine years, producing over one million images across more than 300 events and games. His work spans organizations as varied as Dave & Buster’s and professional sports teams, and today includes covering games for a Major League team, freelancing for the Lawrence Journal-World, and working as a media professional for Next Door Photos.

A problem solver by nature, Parker brings that mindset into everything he does, from photography to building automations and adopting AI, flying drones as an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, and following his curiosity into mapping, GIS, and GPS technology. He founded IONYOU Media, managed social media for Rooted Landscape, and communicates clearly with teammates and clients while working independently, needing little oversight to deliver quickly and efficiently.

Parker’s work has earned recognition, including a Top 100 Photo finish in the Rocky Mountain School of Photography’s high school competition and distinction as one of the youngest photographers working for a professional sports team. Outside of paid work, he has volunteered as a photographer, camera operator, and video director at Journey Bible Church since 2019 and as a map editor on OpenStreetMap since 2022, the same consistency and initiative showing up whether or not he’s getting paid for it.
